Pigmented lesions can be present from birth or brought on by sun exposure.

Our Candela GentleMax laser targets these spots by delivering short pulses of light energy into the skin. The light energy is absorbed by the concentration of pigment that forms the unwanted lesion, leaving the surrounding skin perfectly intact. Gentle Pro lasers are recognised worldwide for their excellence in treating a myriad of skin conditions.

The number of required treatments varies from patient to patient but typically 2-4 treatments is enough.

Usually between 20-40 mins but can vary depending on the patient.

Some people may feel a slight discomfort with each pulse, similar to having an elastic band slapped against their skin.

Yes you can go about your normal activities after treatment but may be given specific advice, such as avoiding sun or abrasive skin cleansers for a couple of days.

After the treatment, a cool compress or gel pack may be applied. If you do have any redness or swelling after the treatment, this should resolve in a couple of hours.

Laser pigmentation is not successful on Fitzpatrick skin types 5 and 6.
